Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on welds is a proven non-destructive testing (NDT) method used to detect internal flaws and assess the quality of welded joints. At Cspect, we rely on portable flaw detectors to inspect welds accurately and efficiently across a wide range of assets – including ship hulls, tanks, and structural components.

Using high-frequency sound waves, this technique allows us to identify hidden issues such as cracks, lack of fusion, or porosity – without damaging the material. It can be applied to a variety of metals like steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and even painted or corroded surfaces.
